PizzaExpress 60th Birthday Celebration, and the Moments That Matter

On 8 March, we hosted a gathering at our Millenia Walk outlet that brought together friends, family, media, and partners to celebrate 60 years of PizzaExpress. It was more than a birthday party — it was a reflection of what this brand has always stood for: good food, shared experiences, and bringing people together in the most natural of ways — around a table.

The space was buzzing. Children made pizzas with hands full of flour and curiosity, while our pizzaiolos tossed dough high to eager applause. A bouncy castle kept little ones entertained, balloon sculpting by @ryanballoon turned into walking art, and the yogurt bar by Sogurt was busy from start to finish. We even had a PizzaExpress-themed cake decorating corner run by @TwentyGrammesBakes — simple touches that brought joy and interaction to the room, the kind that stays with you long after the last slice.
But what mattered more was the intention behind this celebration. We wanted to mark our 60th with substance, not just spectacle. That’s why we chose to partner with Focus on the Family Singapore — an organisation that deeply understands the value of strong, healthy connections at home.

Together, we created conversation cue cards included in our DIY Pizza Kits. Not flashy or complicated — just thoughtful prompts to help parents and children talk while making a pizza side-by-side. In a world full of distractions, carving out moments like these — where real conversation can happen naturally — feels not only timely, but necessary.
Alongside that, we launched our PizzaExpress 60th Year Limited-Time Menu, now available through 20 April. Dishes like the Flaming Doughballs and Queen Margherita were created with sharing in mind — bold, flavourful, and meant to be passed around, debated over, and enjoyed together. Because food should always be a conversation starter.
On 27 March, our actual birthday, we marked the occasion in true PizzaExpress style — by giving away 60 free pizzas across our outlets. It wasn’t a quiet affair; we shared it openly and invited everyone to join in. The response was enthusiastic, with families, friends, and regulars showing up to celebrate with us. It was a lighthearted way to wrap up the month and continue the spirit of generosity and celebration that’s been with us throughout this milestone year.
And with the March school holidays in full swing, we’re also running our Kids Eat Free offer from 15 to 31 March. It’s simple: order a Piccolo Set and your child dines free. No conditions, no complexity — just another way we’re leaning into what matters most to our customers.
Celebrating 60 years has never been about looking back. It’s about staying grounded in who we are and evolving in the ways that count. Whether it's creating space for a family to reconnect over a meal, or launching new flavours that spark delight — PizzaExpress remains committed to being a place where people come together, again and again.
We’re proud of how far we’ve come — and even more excited for what’s next.
